SKIVERTON UPBEAT AFTER ROVERS WIN
Yeovil Town manager Terry Skiverton will allow his team to attack high-flying Leeds United on Saturday, following victory against Bristol Rovers.
The Glovers enter the Coca-Cola League One match at Elland Road with no fear after beating the Pirates 2-1 to extend their unbeaten run to six games.
After dominating the first half, Rovers took the lead moments after the restart when Chris Dickson stabbed home Danny Coles' flick.
However, substitute Jon Obika's headed equaliser and Terrell Forbes first-ever professional goal ensured the three points returned down the A37 with the Glovers.
Leeds travel to the Memorial Stadium tomorrow evening topping League One with a game in hand over second-placed Charlton Athletic.
Regardless of the outcome of that match, Skiverton said his team had earned the chance to take the game to the former Premier League outfit on Saturday.
He said: "I think our form has turned, I think our luck has turned and we are on decent roll. I am going to give the boys a free rein next week as they have got ourselves in credit and we are going to give it a real go against Leeds."
Skiverton also praised his team for their approach to the same fixture they lost 3-0 in February, the day after former manager Russell Slade's departure.
He added: "I was here last season when we got turned over quite easily. It was the game before I took over and I wanted to come here with a little bit of spirit and a little bit of passion.
"I think we showed that and we are starting to upset a few people and show we can get results."
Forbes' secured the win for Yeovil on 64 minutes and dedicated the goal to his nine-month-old son and grandmother.
He said: "It has taken 368 appearances to score and it has popped off of my knee. To be honest, I did not want to wash that knee in the shower, that is how good it felt.
It felt so good and I am so happy. I just want to dedicate it to my little boy and Nanny T, who has been waiting 368 games for this."
