Yeovil Town manager Terry Skiverton has told the Glovers supporters that he's pleased with the attitude of the players following Tuesday night's defeat to Exeter City in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy first round.
Town, who lost 3-1 after dragging themselves back into the game with a 75th minute equaliser, played more than half the match with ten men after striker Sam Williams was dismissed on the stroke of half time for violent conduct.
The boss said "I'm pleased with how they have reacted since Tuesday night; I just want them to show a little more hunger in wanting the victory. We're at an identical stage to last season and I think we just need to improve on a couple of things."
Williams, who will now serve a three match ban as a result of his dismissal, will be busy during his enforced absence from the team. "Sam will be working on his fitness while he's out and we want him fit and flying when he comes back after his ban."
As far as the manager goes, he is positive ahead of the Glovers trip to Notts County this weekend. "They're another team who were promoted last season and have come up with a good League One squad. They've had their problems but they're in a better place now and we'll need to turn in another dogged performance like we did at Oldham Athletic to take something from the game."
