FROM NORTON TO YEOVIL, VIA CALGARY

Posted on: Tue 31 Aug 2010
Yeovil Town played host to a couple of very special guests last week when they entertained Martin and Terry Medd from the Canadian city of Calgary.

They had made the long trip over the Atlantic to present the club with a picture of the Yeovil & Petters United team from the early years of the last century. Their grandfather, one John Stanley Harrison, played for the club during a seven year spell from 1907 to 1914.

He lived in the carpenters residence at Norton Sub Hamdon, a village he was born and brought up in, and his grandsons made the kind donation of the picture to the club during their recent visit.

Terry is pictured here with Yeovil Town chief executive Martyn Starnes, presenting him with the team picture from John Harrison's time at the club.
