Yeovil Town kicked off their 2010/11 pre-season schedule with a 3-3 draw this morning at Wycombe.
The Glovers took an early lead in the behind-closed-doors fixture before The Chairboys hit back with three goals before the interval. However Terry Skiverton's second half team, changed completely at half time, replied themselves twice for the game to end all square.
Yeovil kicked off the first half with a mixture of contracted players and trialists as the manager looked to find the right blend ahead of the new season and it was the visitors who got off to a flying start when Danny Hutchins' strong shot flew in after four minutes.
The hosts then levelled matters on the quarter hour and then added two more goals before the half time break to go in 3-1 ahead, the goals coming from Jon-Paul Pittman (2) and Matt Phillips.
The mass changearound at half time saw Ben Roberts come in to make his debut for the Glovers and the second half saw the away side get back into the match. Sam Williams made the score 3-2 before a tremendous volley from outside the area by youth star Lloyd Matthews evened the score up.
No further goals were scored, the game ending three apiece and manager Skiverton declared himself "very pleased" and added "the game was a useful workout for the lads."
The manager is off to another match this afternoon as he takes in the friendly between Reading and Farnborough.
