Notts County midfielder Johnnie Jackson has left Meadow Lane after just one season to join
Charlton Athletic. The 27-year-old arrived at Meadow Lane last August but wants to return to the south east for family reasons.
Meanwhile leaving The Valley is Nicky Bailey who has finally completed his £1.4 million deal to join Championship side Middlesbrough. Bailey, who will sign a three year deal, will also generate a £225,000 windfall payment to his previous club Southend from where he left previously.
Brighton have signed their former loan striker Ashley Barnes from
Plymouth Argyle on a two year deal. The 20-year-old enjoyed a successful loan spell at the Seagulls last season grabbing four goals in eight games having already been out on loan on four occasions before.

Finally former Glovers loan player Simon Gillett has signed a contract with Championship side Doncaster Rovers. Gillett played eleven times during a two month loan spell with Rovers last season and the 24-year-old midfielder will sign a two year deal.
