THREE PLAYERS AGREE NEW DEALS

Posted on: Wed 16 Jun 2010
Yeovil Town are pleased to announce that striker Dean Bowditch, midfielder Gavin Tomlin and defender Nathan Smith have all agreed to sign new deals.

The trio were among five players given a deadline to accept the terms offered to them by the club and all three have accepted the offers and will return to the club for pre-season training on July 1st.

Midfielder Keiran Murtagh will also return to the club after the summer break but only for training with the manager's comment on his future being "We'll wait and see what happens",  while Congolese international Jean-Paul Kalala has been given more time after returning to France to deal with a family issue.

All three players who have agreed deals  were integral parts of Yeovil's League One campaign last season.

Bowditch scored ten goals despite being sidelined for three months with a dislocated shoulder sustained in the opening game against Tranmere.

Smith made 36 appearances from the left back berth and made the position his own restricting assistant manager Nathan Jones to twenty games. He will return shortly to prepare for his fourth season at Huish Park.

Tomlin, playing as either a striker or a right-sided midfielder, scored seven times last year and proved a valuable addition to the team. The ex-Fisher player will start his third season with Yeovil looking to cement a regular first team spot.
