THE NEWS AT ONE - JUNE 10TH

Posted on: Sat 12 Jun 2010
The biggest news of an otherwise quiet day in League One was the transfer of Swindon's teenage sensation Alex Henshall who joined Manchester City for an undisclosed fee.

Henshall, 16, made two appearances last season from the bench and Yeovil fans who watched the England v Wales Victory Shield tie at Huish Park last season will remember him as the winger who made a stunning impact by assisting the winner minutes after coming on.

Brighton have re-signed defender Inigo Calderon on a three year deal. The 29-year-old joined the Seagulls as a free agent in January and looked set to join Southampton after holding talks with them last month.

Rochdale defender Tom Kennedy has joined Championship side Leicester City in a three year deal. Kennedy made more than 150 appearances for 'Dale in his three years at Spotland.

Two more players pledged their future to Leyton Orient today. 18-year-old defender Mike Cestor signed a two year deal while midfielder Adam Chambers, the O's longest serving player, signed for a year with the option of another year on top.
