As the weeks fly by towards the Darren Way benefit match against a Manchester United XI, details of who will be involved on the day are beginning to filter through.
Darren, who officially retired from the playing side earlier this year, will be making a cameo appearance in the match which takes place on Saturday July 24th at Huish Park with a 3.00pm kick off.
We can now exclusively reveal that the man in the middle for the big match will be top Premiership referee Andre Marriner.
The Birmingham-based whistler was a familiar face to Glovers fans way before his regular appearances on Saturday nights on "Match Of The Day".
Andre, 39, has cemented his place on the Select Referees List this past season officiating at thirty six games, the last of which was a fortnight ago between Hull and Liverpool.
His last Yeovil game was in September 2007 when a Lloyd Owusu winner gave the Glovers a 1-0 victory at Swindon Town. The year before that saw his last appearance at Huish Park when he was the whistler for the local derby against Bristol City which Yeovil won 2-1.
One Marriner-officiated match that Yeovil fans will hold long in the memory was the last game in non-league football, the 1-1 draw versus Chester.
