Yeovil Town are delighted to announce that footballing legend Barry Fry will be the guest speaker at a sportsman's dinner in March.
The event, compered by comedian Jimmy Quinn, will be held at the club on Thursday, March 11th with a 7.30pm kick off.
Barry Fry is one of the most recognisable faces from British football over the past thirty five years in a career with more ups and downs than a rollercoaster.
A playing career with few highlights has been usurped with a long career in management starting in 1974 with Dunstable Town. He remained in non-league and was most famous initially for his fifteen years at Barnet, split only by a season in charge of Maidstone.
His tempestuous relationship with chairman Stan Flashman was the stuff that dreams were made of for the press.
Later spells with Southend United, Birmingham City and Peterborough United saw him fill thousands of columns of news print with his thoughts and musings.
The dinner is £35 per person or £300 for a table of ten and will undoubtedly provide a wonderful evening of fun, friendly chat and fascinating stories.
The evening starts at 7.30pm with entertainment and a charity auction afterwards. Please ring Dave Linney on 01935 847872 to book your place for this popular event.
