Simon Church met his Yeovil Town team mates for the first time today after arriving for training at Huish Park this morning.

Simon who signed on loan from Reading for the Glovers last week has been on International duty for Wales and played in the UEFA Under 21 Championship qualifiers against Malta on Tuesday.

After coming on as sub Church scored the second goal for the U21's ten minutes from the final whistle after Edward Herrera failed to clear a low cross and he swooped on the ball to make it 2-0.

Speaking to www.ytfc.net this morning Simon was clearly looking forward to making an impact at Yeovil.

"I am really pleased to be here. He said

"When I played for Crewe against Yeovil, I have got to admit that, that was one of my best games so far this season.

"I like to work hard and create opportunities up front for me and for others really so hopefully I will bring a couple of goals.

"Yeovil is a really nice Club and everyone I have met has been really friendly and I can't wait to get playing."

Simon who has 4 caps and has scored 2 goals for the Welsh U21 squad spoke of his delight at beating Malta to put them top of Group 10.

"I have just got back; we beat Malta 4-0 which was a great result for us as it now put us at the top of our group table.

"I was really happy to come on and score so it was a good trip.
