A Terrell Forbes own goal was enough to separate Yeovil and Swindon at Huish Park this afternoon as the Glovers lost by a goal to nil.

The central defender headed past keeper Alex McCarthy four minutes before half-time from Jon-Paul McGovern's cross as the Glovers lost their unbeaten home league record to their local rivals.

Yeovil started by far the brighter and both Sam Williams and Jonathan Obika saw their attempts on goal blocked in the first two minutes as the home side took the game to their rivals lying four places higher in the division.

Nathan Smith's brilliant fifty-yard run was blocked by the defence but the ball fell to Keiran Murtagh, his shot flying over the bar as he sought to repeat last week's wonder strike at Huddersfield.

On nine minutes, Williams again was unlucky when his header was deflected for a corner as the Glovers pressed.

Swindon started coming more into the game and Ben Hutchinson's teasing cross was held by McCarthy.

Manager Terry Skiverton's woeful luck with injured strikers continued as Williams was forced off after twenty minutes with a hip injury joining Aidan Downes, Gavin Tomlin and Dean Bowditch on the sidelines. Andre McCollin was sent on in his place.

Yeovil's first real sight on goal came on twenty-six minutes. Obika was felled just outside the box but Ryan Mason hit his shot straight at the wall; the ball going out for a corner.

Keiran Murtagh was looking impressive again in midfield and his craft in midfield released Craig Alcock down the right wing. His cross missed everybody except Smith at the far post who missed his shot.

Swindon started pressing more, forcing three corners in five minutes and their pressure produced the only goal of the game on 41 minutes. Jon-Paul McGovern whipped a cross in from the left and Forbes glanced a header into the corner of the net.

Smith earned a yellow card for a foul on McGovern in first half injury time.

The second half began with McCollin's weak shot saved by keeper David Lucas and Yeovil felt they had a shout for a penalty four minutes in when Mason looked like he was pushed at the far post from Alcock's cross.

Andy Lindegaard came on for Alcock on fifty minutes and was booked for a foul within three minutes.

The game sparked to life on the hour when Swindon manager Danny Wilson was sent to the stands for hurling a volley of abuse at Skiverton after Yeovil played on with a Robins player down with a leg injury.

Mason became the third Glover to be booked when he challenged a Swindon player after the ball had gone and ten minutes later, Nathan Jones followed him into referee Jarnail Singh's book for a trip on the halfway line.

McGovern had a rare chance for the visitors but fired over and they should have finished the game off when Lloyd Macklin toe-poked a good chance wide after breaking through and looking suspiciously offside.

Jean-Paul Kalala came on for Andy Welsh and it was the Congolese midfielder who came closest to equalising when his cross-cum-shot landed on the roof of the net.

The final chance of the match landed at the feet of Obika but his shot lacked power and despite four minutes of injury time, the Glovers couldn't keep up their record of scoring in every league match and slipped to a disappointing defeat.
