Yeovil produced one of their best performances of the season when they sunk lowly Wycombe by four goals to one at Adams Park this afternoon.

Dean Bowditch gave the Glovers the lead before Matt Harrold equalised early in the second half. But a stunning spell of thirteen minutes where goals from Andy Welsh, Owain Tudur Jones and Bowditch again, secured Terry Skiverton's second away win of the season and completed a high scoring double over the Buckinghamshire outfit.

Former Glover Harrold had an early chance to silence the away support but the tall striker nodded wide at the far post on three minutes.

Alex Revell and on-loan Josh Payne also had half chances as Wycombe started the brighter but it was Yeovil  who took the lead on sixteen minutes. Welsh cut inside from the left and laid it back to Bowditch who sidefooted a shot into the top corner.

The fomer Ipswich man was causing no end of problems up top and he nearly added a second shortly after but saw his shot blocked.

On the half hour, Welsh should have helped himself to a goal after Bowditch set him up but the winger got right under the ball and the chance sailed over.

Harrold stabbed the ball wide after being set up by another former Yeovil man, Kevin Betsy and John Mousinho headed wide as Wycombe pressed for a leveller.

Five minuted before the break, ex-Weymouth striker Stuart Beavon lifted the ball over keeper Alex McCarthy and into the net but the linesman's offside flag denied him.

The second half began in the worst possible style for Skiverton's men when Harrold headed powerfully home from Dean Keates' free kick.

A third ex-Glover, Luke Oliver, replaced Adam Hinshelwood three minutes later but sixty seconds later, his old side took the lead. Gavin Tomlin and Shaun MacDonald combined well down the right, set Bowditch up but his shot was parried only to fall to Welsh at the far post to tuck in.

Payne had two efforts that went wide of McCarthy's goal but the third came before they could impress properly on the game.

Tudur Jones burst through the middle and was cynically brought down by Oliver just outside the box, somewhat luckily only earning a yellow. Tudur Jones got his revenge though as he curled in a beauty of a free kick into the bottom corner.

Six minutes later it was incredibly four! A long ball from defence found Bowditch through on goal. The retreating Oliver couldn't tackle for fear of being dismissed and Bowditch coolly slotted into the corner after turning the defender again.

Stefan Stam came close to adding a fifth with a far post header as the Glovers attacked rampantly.

McCarthy saved well from Payne's shot with fifteen minutes to go but the visitors never really looked troubled in the last part of the game.

Mousinho slashed a shot wide for the game's last chance as Yeovil held on for a comfortable win and an 8-1 aggregate win to boot.
