Yeovil suffered another away day disappointment today by going down by two goals to one at the Galpharm Stadium.

Despite taking the lead and missing a penalty within the first quarter-hour, manager Terry Skiverton was left still looking for his first away three points haul.

Yeovil started the brighter and forced a corner inside the first three minutes but nothing came of it. The play went straight up to the other end and Theo Robinson didn't seriously test Yeovil keeper Alex McCarthy.

Within ninety seconds though, the Glovers had taken the lead with an absolutely stunning strike from Keiran Murtagh.

Yeovil's second corner was cleared only as far as Murtagh and from outside the area, he hit a stunning, rising shot into the top right hand corner of the net leaving keeper Alex Smithies helpless and the 231 Yeovil fans into raptures. A goal worthy of winning any game.

This stung the home side into action and McCarthy had to be smart to deal with a chance for Peter Clarke. They forced two corners inside a minute as they pushed to find an equaliser.

The Glovers were handed a golden opportunity to grab a second when after twelve minutes, Nathan Smith was fouled in the penalty box. Striker  Gavin Tomlin stepped up but saw his attempt saved by Smithies.

Huddersfield finally got a chance of note when Lionel Ainsworth, who had scored a hat-trick against Yeovil when at Hereford previously, broke down the right, cut in but fired his shot into the side netting.

The game settled down for a spell with the Terriers pushing forward and Yeovil breaking quickly in response but the equaliser came just after the half-hour. Anthony Pilkington burst down the left wing, crossed over and unmarked Robinson poked in at the far post.

The goal boosted the home side who attacked with fervour before the Glovers came back into it. Nathan Smith sliced his shot wide, Ryan Mason half-hit a volley at the keeper and Tomlin headed over as Yeovil took charge again.

The second half started evenly too with Terrell Forbes coming close following a corner and Obika heading down and over the bar.

Sadly for the Glovers though, the missed chances cost them as Huddersfield went into the lead on 64 minutes. A cross from the right hand side was headed past a despairing McCarthy by Michael Collins.

Terry Skiverton sent on Andy Welsh and Sam Williams for Nathan Jones and Gavin Tomlin and Welsh announced his arrival with a chipped through ball to Obika who volleyed straight at keeper Smithies.

Mason picked up an injury when he was tackled and was replaced by George O'Callaghan but the final few minutes saw the home side push for a third.

Though Yeovil had half-chances including a curler of a free kick from Welsh tipped over by Smithies, the Glovers were beaten.
