Former Yeovil Town loan midfielder Owain Tudur Jones has been invited down to Plymouth Argyle with a view to signing a loan deal. The 25-year-old Welsh international spent time on loan at Swindon before arriving at Huish park from his parent club Norwich City.

Notts County have made a double signing today. 23-year-old striker Kevin Smith has joined on a one year deal from SPL side Dundee United after an impressive loan spell last season with Falkirk. Teenage midfielder Matt Marshall, who went to school in Shaftesbury, has agreed a six month deal with the Magpies.

Peterborough's defender / midfielderExodus Geohaghon has dropped into League Two to sign a one month deal with Rotherham United.

Reading goalkeeper Mikkel Anderson has signed another loan deal with Bristol Rovers today. Andersen spent the majority of last season at the Memorial Stadium and has rejoined after another loaned keeper, West Brom's Luke Daniels, was injured in a friendly.

Carlisle manager Greg Abbott has signed Manchester United reserve team defender James Chester on a five month deal. Chester, 21, impressed during a friendly appearance last weekend against Hibs and will join the Cumbrians until January 1st.
