Rhys earned his first full professional contract at Yeovil Town having been a regular in the youth team in recent years.
In season 2009/10, the youngster progressed and was named on the sub's bench for the FA Cup game against Oxford United. He was also loaned out to Toolstation Premier Division side Sherborne Town.
In season 2010/11, he was given a squad number and made several appearances on the subs bench. At the end of the season, he was offered his first professional contract.
