Steven Caulker came with a good pedigree having recently signed his first professional contract at Tottenham.
An accomplished centre-half, he was playing in the under-18 team at sixteen and was promoted to captain last season making 31 appearances.
He also managed a further five games for Tottenham's reserve team in 2008/09 and is still only seventeen years of age.
Football is not his only gift. He was borough champion at 400m running for four years in a row.
Since arriving at Huish Park, Steven has proved an accomplished defender and his displays have earned him three England under-19 caps, against Finland, Slovenia and Turkey.
