Rob signed on a month's loan from Vicarage Road where he has been now for three years after originally joining on a two year scholarship. This was turned into a developmental contract which was then extended until June 2011.
Rob, who has also received call-ups into the Eire under-19 squad, made his one, and so far only, appearance for the Hornets in a fourth round FA Cup tie against Crystal Palace in January 2009, coming on as a last minute substitute.
Last season, the 6'1" Watford-born player went out on loan to Scottish Premier League side Kilmarnock for whom he made five first team appearances, two of which were against Celtic.
