Central defender Paul Huntington joined in the summer of 2010 on a two year deal with the Glovers.

The 6'3" Carlisle-born player most recently played for Stockport County where he made his debut against Yeovil in the 2-2 draw at Huish Park. In all, he appeared 26 times for the Hatters having joined from Leeds United early in the season.

Paul will also be remembered for the promise shown in his early career. Coming up through the Newcastle United Centre of Excellence, he was capped by England at under-18 level and made the bench for United's Intertoto matches in the summer of 2005 aged only seventeen.

His first team debut came against Blackburn Rovers in December 2006 and his full debut came the same month when he lined up against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

He scored in a 3-2 win over Tottenham at White Hart Lane and impressed throughout his debut season however he left United in August 2007 to sign for Leeds United for an undisclosed fee.

The Cumbrian established himself as a first choice in the back four appearing twice against the Glovers at Huish Park but early in his second season, he suffered a hernia injury and missed the rest of the season.

Season 2009/10 saw Paul begin the season at Leeds United but then move to Stockport County, initially on loan but then signing a short term contract.

He arrived at Huish Park and secured a place in the back four this season. He was appointed captain of the side following an injury to skipper Craig Alcock and has enjoyed a superb debut season, chipping in with some useful goals during the campaign.
