The 6'7" stopper, who is 20 years old, has recently been playing in the Northampton side that was previously managed by Gary Johnson before his departure in November.
Sam began his career in the youth teams at Ebbsfleet United and Millwall before joining Chelsea at the age of sixteen. He played in eight of the nine games in Chelsea's FA Youth Cup 2009/10 winning campaign. Also in the team that night was former Glovers loanee Conor Clifford and Swansea's new loan signing, Josh McEachran.
The giant keeper made seven appearances for Barnet in League Two last season and has added a further 25 games for Northampton Town in the same division this season.
